Kayla was the South Puget Sound League's Female Track Athlete of the Year for 2008, 2009 and 2010 and First Team SPSL soccer forward for 2008 and 2009.

"It is not often you get to coach a special athlete like Kayla Stueckle," said ERHS track and field coach Gary Osborne. "The hurdle coach, Chris Susee, and myself were blessed with an athlete of Kayla's caliber."

Stueckle captured the WIAA 4A 300-meter hurdle championships as a sophomore and junior. State championship results for 2010 weren't available at press time, but she was expected to contend for top honors in the 300- and 100-meter hurdles, 200-meter dash and the long jump.

At the SPSL Championships, she won both hurdles events and placed 2nd in both the dash and long jump. At the West Central District 3 Championships, she won both hurdles and placed 3rd in long jump and 4th in the dash.

Track honors include being named twice as WIAA State Athlete of the Week and three times as TAC Athlete of the Month. She also was Outstanding Female Athlete of the Meet at the 2009 Pasco Invitational.

In soccer, she scored 14 goals and added 12 assists for the undefeated Jaguars SPSL championship team her senior year. She was named to The News Tribune's 2nd Team All Area team. She had 9 goals and 10 assists as a junior, helping her team to 2nd Place in the SPSL.

Kayla registered a cumulative 3.95 GPA and ranked 11th in her 511-member senior class. She took Advanced Placement in English as a junior and senior and in math as a senior.
